Netflix’s animated musical phenomenon KPop Demon Hunters—known affectionately as “케데헌 (Kedeheon)”—has scored a monumental achievement: three of its original soundtrack (OST) songs are now in the Top 10 of the US Billboard Hot 100, an extraordinary accomplishment that reflects the franchise’s explosive popularity and cultural impact.

Three OST Tracks Enter the Hot 100 Top 10

According to Billboard’s latest preview, the songs “Golden” landed at #2, “Your Idol” at #4, and “Soda Pop” at #10 on the Hot 100 chart dated August 18, 2025

  • Golden, performed by the fictional K-pop girl group Huntr/x, slipped one spot to number 2 this week after previously topping the chart
  • Your Idol, by the film’s boy band Saja Boys, climbed from #8 to #4
  • Soda Pop, also by the Saja Boys, debuted in the Top 10 at #10

A Milestone Not Seen in Nearly Three Decades

This remarkable feat marks the first time since the 1996 film Waiting to Exhale that three songs from a single film’s soundtrack have simultaneously landed in the Hot 100 Top 10 . It’s a rare chart dominance that speaks volumes about KPop Demon Hunters’ cross-cultural resonance.

Why This Matters

The Billboard Hot 100 rankings are based on a blend of streaming figures, radio airplay, and sales. That three OST tracks from a single film rank in the Top 10 signals an unmatched level of public engagement—especially impressive for an animated musical featuring fictional K-pop acts

Moreover, the soundtrack’s performance isn’t just a fleeting trend—it also marks key achievements:

  • “Golden” isn’t just a hit—it’s a culturally significant one: the first song by an all-female collective to reach #1 on the Hot 100 in the U.S. since Destiny’s Child’s Bootylicious in 2001, and only the ninth K-pop–associated song ever to top the chart
  • The soundtrack album itself debuted at #8 on the Billboard 200, making it the highest-charting soundtrack of 2025 and earning the highest debut for any soundtrack album this year
